Message from The Patron

In my years as patron of Operafest Children's Choir, I have seen Operafest nurture in the young an appreciation of music, both in the classic vein, light operas and even popular musicals.

It is wonderful to see how the children with raw talent have been molded under the tutelage of Mrs Kam Sun-Yoke to become such a fine ensemble of voices singing in harmony that have excelled in the international arena.

The Operafest Children's Choir has garnered much praise abroad wherever they have performed and their continued existence is only because of the generous support of organisations, the parents and the authorities.

It is my heartfelt wish that Operafest continues to groom the young to have a deep love for fine music and hone their talent. The young of today will be the future hope of Malaysia and I believe that the work of Operafest with the children will leave a lasting legacy that will make Malaysia proud.

I therefore thank all our friends and sponsors for their generosity and in sharing our vision for Operafest Children's Choir.

May this Christmas be a season of Love, Peace and Goodwill to all mankind.
