Nov 12 MCA organising unique fund raiser
THE Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) will be organising a fund raiser with a difference - a musical presentation by the world acclaimed Operafest Children's Choir - on Dec 7 at the Petaling Jaya Civic Centre as part of their efforts to raise money for junior development in the country. And the proceeds from the musical extravaganza will be channelled to the soon to be launched Education Fund which MCA will use to assist young players to further their studies. New Straits Times
Nov 10 Raising funds via a musical night
THE Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) will organise a musical night on Dec 7 as part of their fund raising for the development of the game. Operafest Children's Choir, who won a bronze medal at the Koorfestival in Holland and a silver at the Llangollen Eisteddfod in Wales, will perform Carmen, a well known play by Georges Bizet at the PJ Civic Centre. Aug 23 Voices that bind
ONCE again, opera fans will be entertained by the wonderful voices of the Operafest Choir. The choir, founded by Kam Sun-Yoke, gives children a platform to discover and explore their singing talents. It has had numerous performances both here and internationally. However, this time around the group performs with two foreign singers, Anna-Marie Kotze of South Africa and Laura Rizzo of Argentina.
