Great Eastern children's charity concert
GREAT Eastern Life Assurance ( Malaysia) Bhd sponsored a night of music and song with a charity concert themed Life is Great Across Borders last month in Kuala Lumpur.
The concert featured performances by the talented Canadian choristers, The Kokopelli, and the Malaysian Operafest Children's Choir.
Both choirs have performed at many international music festivals and won several awards in international competitions.
The concert is one of many activities organised and sponsored by Great Eastern under its long-term charity project Childrencare.
Every year, staff and agents participate in fund-raising campaigns and proceeds in the Childrencare Trust Fund are donated to children's charity homes.
A 1,500-strong audience was enthralled with a night of sweet melodies ranging from contemporary numbers to catchy American pop classics tunes. To date, the Childrencare project has raised more than RM600,000 for disabled and underprivileged children in Malaysia |
